Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) stunned the world with the unveiling of its all-electric Type 00 concept in December 2024 during a mega event in Miami, and in a bold new step, the company is set to roll out this concept in India next month.
As the first model in Jaguar’s upcoming range of all-new electric vehicles, the Type 00 marks a significant departure from the brand’s traditional design language.

Since its debut, this newly-designed concept car has been grabbing eyeballs globally.
The concept saw its European premiere in Paris earlier in 2025 and is currently being showcased in Monaco.
Jaguar has now confirmed that the Type 00 will be shown in Mumbai on June 14, 2025, as part of its global display, which also includes stops in Munich and Tokyo.
High demand and strong interest
Even as a concept, the Jaguar Type 00 has already sparked immense interest.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced that it has received over 32,000 expressions of interest (EoIs) for the Type 00 globally.
This is a strong indicator of the car’s wide appeal and the public’s excitement about Jaguar’s electric future.
In addition to the Type 00, JLR has also seen overwhelming interest in its upcoming Range Rover Electric, which has already crossed 61,000 bookings.
Striking design | A Jaguar like no other
What makes the Type 00 concept so unique is its bold and polarising design. With a long bonnet, a rear-set cabin, and a sleek, sloping roofline, the car delivers a grand tourer (GT) look, blending elegance with futuristic styling.
Unlike previous Jaguar models, the Type 00 features an upright, boxy front, ultra-slim headlights, and a distinctive grille, offering a whole new visual identity for the brand.
This fresh design language signals Jaguar’s intent to reinvent itself as a modern luxury EV manufacturer, targeting both performance and exclusivity.
Production model in late 2025
While the current version is still a concept, Jaguar has confirmed that a four-door production model of the Type 00 will be officially revealed later in 2025.
This model will be the first road-ready vehicle from Jaguar’s new EV line-up and is expected to retain much of the concept’s striking styling.
Jaguar claims that the production version will offer a mind blowing 770 km range on a single charge, the best among luxury EVs.
