With VF6 and VF7, Vietnam’s VinFast to be a serious player in India’s EV market

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast is ready to begin production at its Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu from Monday (August 4) and is set to become a serious player in India’s EV market.

This will be India’s first dedicated EV manufacturing facility set up by a foreign company.

Tesla launches Model Y in India at Rs 60 lakh, much higher than global prices

Tesla has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its electric SUV, the Model Y, at a starting price of Rs 59.89 lakh (ex-showroom) (Rs 5.98 million), a price tag significantly higher than the global markets.

This is owing to the heavy import duties and logistical costs.
